Going, going, gone ! A quality, live Charity Auction is coming to Newbury on 21st April, with a good mixture of antiques and collectables for sale, including silver, jewellery, coins, paintings, furniture, ceramics, glass and much more.
Special Auction Services (‘SAS’) of Newbury is hosting the Charity Auction, raising funds solely for the Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice. They’re committed to raising the grand sum of £21,000, and the star lot is a diamond bangle (pictured).
Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service was founded in 2007 with the aim of providing a dedicated children’s hospice service for all children with life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses in Berkshire and beyond.
Directors Thomas Forrester and Neil Shuttleworth are Ambassadors for this charity, and along with donations, valuation days and other fund-raising events, they continue to support the Hospice. During the very testing past twelve months, fundraising for charities has been especially difficult, with many scheduled events being cancelled.
Neil Shuttleworth, Director of Antiques & Collectables, says:
‘We are delighted to be able to offer some interesting lots to help raise funds for this great cause. As an Ambassador to the Hospice, I have been trying to find a way of raising some money to help and this will be great. We are still accepting donations, and any diamond bangles or other things would be welcomed! The auction can be previewed on the Special Auction Services website and live bidding will commence on 21st April. There is no buyer’s premium so you simply pay the hammer price. Happy Bidding!’
The auction will be a traditional sale with descriptions, photographs and live internet bidding. The online catalogue will be posted on the SAS website, www.specialauctionservices.com
